About

About me

I build observability SDKs and help shape the open standards behind them. My work spans product architecture, open source, and customer migration.

Open standards, production constraints

I lead technical direction for Azure Monitor’s JavaScript, Web, Node.js, and Python observability SDKs. These libraries run inside customer applications, so API stability, performance, diagnostics, and compatibility matter as much as feature design.

I’m an OpenTelemetry Approver in JavaScript and Python and represent Microsoft in the Web/Browser SIG. Upstream work keeps me close to the API, SDK, and instrumentation decisions that downstream products eventually need to support.

As a technical lead, I work across repositories and organizational boundaries. I focus on clear ownership, durable architecture, honest tradeoffs, and migration plans that respect the software customers already run.

I’m Mexican, based in Seattle, and usually listening to music while I work. I publish in English and Spanish to share technical ideas with both parts of my world.
